Job Role: Padel Coach – Gloucestershire

Reporting to: Head Coach Gloucester

Based: Gloucestershire

Hours: Full Time

The Role:

Join us at The Padel Club where you will form an important part of our coaching team. You will help to deliver a high standard of Padel tuition under the guidance of our head pro. You will help deliver sessions for beginner classes, run club sessions and assist running competitions and open days. Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world, and we want you to be passionate about the game and to have an enthusiastic and engaging personality to ensure our members are put first.

Crucially, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to build a successful portfolio of private 1:1 coaching. While group and club sessions provide a solid foundation, your best earning potential will come from developing your own client base for individual lessons. We support our coaches in maximizing this highly competitive and lucrative aspect of the role.

Responsibilities:

Some of the responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, leading to a strong demand for private coaching sessions.
  • Undertaking sessions according to the programme timetable and ensuring classes commence at the designated times.
  • Ensuring the efficient and effective operation of sessions, including equipment set-up and take-down.
  • Maintaining qualifications, licensing and CPD/ training requirements. (The club can help obtain qualifications.)

Qualifications:

  • Min. Qualification: L2
  • Min. Accreditation: LTA Accreditation

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of padel techniques, tactics, and game strategies.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire players.
  • Organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Proficiency in English

The Role:

As Clubhouse Manager, you’ll lead the food & beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, commercial success, and a memorable experience for every player. You’ll be responsible for team leadership, product quality, compliance, and driving revenue through smart menu strategies, underpinned by rigorous stock control, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Service Excellence
    • Lead and motivate the clubhouse team to deliver outstanding service
    • Foster a warm, professional environment aligned with The Padel Club’s brand and values
    • Collaborate with other department leads to ensure seamless guest experience

    Food & Beverage Operations

    • Oversee daily F&B service, including menu development, pricing, and presentation
    • Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
    • Take ownership of all Environmental Health Officer (EHO) visits, audits, and follow-up actions
    • Maintain accurate food safety documentation and staff training records
    • Conduct regular stock takes and reviews to maintain accurate inventory and minimise waste
    • Analyse sales and usage data to inform purchasing and menu adjustments

    Club Room Safety & Cleanliness

    • Ensure the clubhouse and club room are clean, safe, and welcoming at all times
    • Conduct daily cleanliness checks and coordinate with cleaning with the team.
    • Monitor furniture, fixtures, and guest areas for wear and tear, reporting issues promptly
    • Uphold brand standards in presentation, signage, and guest-facing materials

    Commercial Performance

    • Drive revenue through upselling, promotions, seasonal campaigns and innovative ideas.
    • Monitor financial performance and contribute to budget planning
    • Use data to inform decisions on pricing, staffing, and product offerings

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the sports or hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in managing a multi-departmental operation.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Passion for the padel sports industry and a strong understanding of member needs and expectations.
  • Experience in the food & beverage and retail industries is a plus.

Benefits:

  • 3+ years in hospitality or retail management, ideally in a sports or leisure setting
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver commercial results
  • Strong understanding of food safety, customer service, and inventory management
  • Experience managing EHO visits and food compliance documentation
