The Padel Club is bringing seven state-of-the-art padel courts to Cardiff after successfully securing a site. The new venue will feature four indoor courts, two covered courts and one outdoor court, expanding The Padel Club’s unique brand across the country and establishing it as a premium provider of the sport.
Cardiff, a city celebrated for its passion for sport, vibrant culture and strong community spirit, will now add The Padel Club to its impressive sporting scene. The new facility will include four indoor panoramic courts, two covered courts, one outdoor court, premium seating, lockers, showers, and a 10-metre-high roof designed to create the perfect playing experience for players of all levels.
Founded in 2022, The Padel Club has quickly built a reputation for its welcoming, community-driven approach. Following the success of their Wilmslow venue, the Gloucester Keys expansion in an abandoned Toys R’Us, the major new site at Trafford City – the largest purpose-built padel venue in the North of the UK – and the new Cheltenham venue at Festival Trade Park, Cardiff marks their latest step in making padel accessible to more players.
“We’ve always believed padel is more than just a sport; it’s a way to connect people. You don’t need a partner to start playing, and it’s easy to meet new friends on the court. We want The Padel Club to be a place where people come together, share experiences, and leave with more than just a great game,” said Kris Ball, CEO of The Padel Club.
The club’s fresh approach to the padel community has been a key to its success, welcoming players of all abilities and helping them improve their game through friendly matches, competitions, and top-level coaching.
The decision to open in Cardiff reflects The Padel Club’s belief that the Welsh capital’s rich sporting culture and strong sense of community make it a perfect fit.
“We’ve seen how much sportspeople love padel, from rugby players to footballers, and we know Cardiff has a fantastic sporting heritage. It’s a city that lives and breathes sport and community – which is exactly what The Padel Club stands for,” said Kris Ball.
The new Cardiff venue has been designed with player experience in mind, offering:
- Four indoor panoramic padel courts with a 10-metre-high roof – ideal for competitive and social play.
- Two covered outdoor courts – perfect for year-round play in all weathers.
- One outdoor court for open-air sessions.
- Premium seating areas for players and spectators.
- On-site lockers and showers for convenience.
The Padel Club encourages everyone to give padel a try. Beginner introduction sessions with qualified coaches will be available, and all equipment, including racquets, can be hired or purchased from the onsite shop. Bookings can be made easily through the Playtomic mobile app.
Subject to planning, the opening of the Cardiff club is planned for later this year. The team is committed to creating a facility that will become a proud part of Cardiff’s sporting scene.
“We want to build something special for Cardiff – a place that brings people together through padel, whether they’re picking up a racquet for the first time or playing at a competitive level. From our courts to our coaching and customer service, we’re creating something the community can be proud of,” added Kris Ball.
