The Padel Club Handforth Dean launches with real demand & excitement.
The seven-court venue joins a North-West cluster of clubs that began in Wilmslow in 2022 and now stretches across the region with TraffordCity – the largest purpose-built padel venue in the UK – Gloucester Quays, Cheltenham and soon to be Chester venue.
The Handforth Dean site includes five indoor padel courts with a 10+ metre roof and two outdoor canopy courts (to be built) with premium patio areas, surrounded by high quality changing rooms, a clubhouse and highly spacious social areas. Game Cameras on all five indoor courts let players capture their best shot, challenge that point and debrief on performance afterwards.
The new club has been designed with the player experience at its forefront, offering:
- Five indoor panoramic padel courts beneath a 10+ metre roof – ideal for competitive and social play
- Competition lighting throughout
- High-quality changing rooms with showers and lockers
- A clubhouse with highly spacious social areas, indoors and out
- Comfortable seating areas for players and spectators

“We are building courts that not only bring the love of the game to many, but also, highly experiential moments for players with the best technology across all of our clubs. We always believed padel would succeed here– but the pace of it has been extraordinary,” said Kris Ball, CEO of The Padel Club. “Handforth Dean is a real milestone for us. South Manchester has been asking for a club like this for a long time and on Saturday we get to show everyone what we do best.”
The Padel Club has built its reputation on the experience around the court as much as the play on it, a brand where, as the club puts it, culture meets court.
“Our knowledge isn’t just about having incredible courts, it’s about the social experience around it too,” added Kris. “The clubhouse and social spaces at Handforth Dean mean players who arrive as strangers leave as friends. That’s what padel should be, a great time on court, and an even better one off it.”
Bookings can be made through the Playtomic mobile app from opening day. Beginner introduction sessions with qualified coaches are available for anyone picking up a racquet for the first time, and racquets can be hired or bought from the on-site shop.
