The Padel Club – the UK’s leading Padel operator – announces plans to bring its latest destination to Albourne, Brighton, featuring six courts for year-round play.

The new Brighton club at Q Leisure, Albourne will feature four canopy courts and two outdoor courts, alongside a Trafford City-spec clubhouse that brings the very best in padel facilities to the South Coast, the first of several clubs in the area.

Mirroring the success of The Padel Club’s Trafford City flagship – the UK’s largest padel development with 11 courts, a purpose-built clubhouse, retail, and food & drink options – subject to planning, the Brighton venue will set a new benchmark for community-focused sport and social experiences in the region.

Since its founding in 2022, The Padel Club has been at the forefront of providing community-focused sport and entertainment matched with world-leading facilities. This new Brighton site continues that journey, combining high quality infrastructure with The Padel Club’s mission to make padel accessible in the UK’s most active and social hubs. Kris Ball, CEO of The Padel Club, said: “Brighton is the perfect home for padel. It’s a city with energy, diversity and a thriving community spirit – everything padel represents. At Q Leisure in Albourne, we’re building a venue that delivers the very best playing experience while also creating a vibrant social space where people can connect on and off the court.”

“The combination of premium courts and a purpose-built clubhouse such as that found in our flagship Trafford City venue, similarly in Gloucester and Cheltenham, will complement the venue and the local community alongside our brand of building a padel family through the club. We always say, come as strangers and leave as friends!”

Alongside this new club announcement, The Padel Club is expanding its reach across the UK to selected venues including, Sheffield, Liverpool & Tunbridge Wells. Established in 2022, The Padel Club has been at the forefront of Padel in the UK building relationships with local communities and sporting figures as part of its distinct identity.

“We have been featured in local and national news since we opened and what was just a sport that some will have seen on holiday in Spain or even some social feeds back then has totally changed. Today, we see clubs popping up and people taking up the sport. We like to think – and we’ve been rewarded for it – that we have a venue and community focus that separates us from the rest.”

Lloyd Peacock, Director at Q Leisure said:

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Padel Club to bring this exciting new sport to Q Leisure. Our venue is already home to an outdoor go-kart track, clay pigeon shooting, archery, axe throwing and semi-auto tactical rimfire experiences, as well as an event space, coffee house and bar/café. With our on-site glamping accommodation at The A-Frame Escape, visitors can now make a full experience of their stay. Adding world-class padel facilities complements our existing activities perfectly and strengthens our ambition to make Q Leisure one of the South Coast’s leading destinations for sport, adventure and social experiences. We can’t wait to welcome players and visitors to enjoy everything we have to offer.”
